Independent lodging units oriented towards vacation tourism.

Defined as the right, real or personal, to use and occupy one or more accommodations periodically during a determined period and other conditions.
This model allows periodic use of accommodations under specific contractual terms, providing flexibility for both owners and users.
A mixed-use development project that combines residential uses with lodging activities such as:
Individual hotel operation with individual ownership
Residential-tourist family atmosphere
Within a tourist master plan
Hospitality and tourism activities must constitute the main component of the development and these elements will be the only ones considered for tourism incentives and/or promotion.
The Residential-Tourist Concept is a type of development and it is not a type of lodging.
Certified lodging modalities that promote responsible environmental practices
Any form of accommodation that meets and operates under the requirements of the Design and Operation Guidelines for Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Facilities and the Green Lodging certification issued by the Sustainable Tourism Division of PRTC.
Lodgings with a minimum of three (3) rooms located on a site where an agricultural activity certified by the Puerto Rico Department of Agriculture is carried out, which provide an agricultural experience in combination with lodging service.
